It's sour...








I'm into umeboshi recentry!!!

I eat at least 3 a day.

My favorite is not salty, and more sweet one.

I also like karikari-ume(crunch-umeboshi).



I always eat it without cooking, but I sometimes eat tofu, cucumbers putting pon-zu(a sauce cantainning soy sauce and vinegar) with chopped one, and natto mixing with it.










By the way, umeboshi contain the citric acid(kuen-san) as you know.

It has some effects for good health!



The one is recovering fatigue.

It removes bad things of the body inside and it can make the energy smoothly.

Umeboshi can prevent that the summer heat make us down:)



The second is killing bad vacterias.

We're careful fresh or old food especially this season.

If we eat it, we don't have to be warried about food poisoning a little.


In short...umeboshi is just right for the comming season!!!

Let's try to eat it!

    how's your preparation for test going?

    I often eat Umeboshi with chopped cucumbers, a little of sesami oil/soy sauce,salt and sesami! Its best combination ever!

    My granma used to use Umeboshi in order to avoid bacteria in a lunch box :)

    I like umeboshi too, when I go to restaurant, I usually order a meal which contained umeboshi :)
    I actually don't care about effects of umeboshi, but umeboshi is our cultural food, isn't it?
    This summer, I will enjoy to drink ume-juice :)

    I like umeboshi,too! And my favorite taste is the same as yours: sweet one. Eating umeboshi itself without cooking is ok, but I think we should know more recipes to enjoy umeboshi and to get through this summer!
    I sometimes make umeboshi sauce with chopped umeboshi, japanese rice vinegar and sugar. It goes well with anything. My favorite way to use that sauce is putting the sauce between sliced meat(chicken, pork, beef... any kind!) and fry it. Because it already has the taste of umeboshi sauce in it, I don't need another sauce like tonkatsu sauce.
    In summer I frequently eat ume jelly which has umeboshi in it. I really really like it so you should try.
    I know umeboshi helps us to get healthy body, so we should keep eating it!
